Foxton, UK: Pedestrian fatality at notorious level crossing

A 73-year-old female was killed when she was struck by a train on the A10 level crossing in Foxton, Cambridgeshire. The accident at the level crossing which has been the subject of extensive campaigning for a safer route across the railway occurred at about 4.10pm on October 8th, 2015. As a consequence of the accident which British Transport Police has said it is treating as non-suspicious both the railway and the A10 were closed for more than three hours.
