Seaton, UK: Red light runner collides with a tram

A local motorist has failed to stop at the level crossing lights protecting the narrow gauge Seaton Tramway in Devon and collided with a tram. The collision at the A3052 crossing in Colyford occurred at about 15.20 on April 8th, 2015. It appears that while the tram driver was shaken, no physical injuries occurred. reportedly, the tram was not so lucky and has sustained significant damage.

    Do we really have to use pejorative headlines such that chosen here? Would it not be better to direct readers to the literature which explains the phenomenon? Safety will not improve without understanding.
