King’s Dyke: GBP17 million grade-separation moving ahead

6 Feb

Cambridgeshire County Council agreed on February 3rd, 2015 to proceed with grade-separation of the King’s Dyke level crossing between Peterborough and Whittlesey. The option selected provides for a bridge and associated bypass routed to the south of the level crossing for which the estimated project cost, including contingencies is GBP16.9 million. This option was preferred by 58% of those participating in the recent public consultation. The County Council decision brings with it GBP3.5 million in funding alongside the GBP8.0 million already pledged. A planning application is expected during summer 2015
