Ashford Bowdler, UK: Crossing upgrade, not closure

6 Feb

Network Rail has confirmed that it will upgrade the Ashford Bowdler level crossing near Ludlow, Shropshire from automatic half-barrier to a full-barrier configuration. This follows on from a public consultation at which Network Rail proposed closure. This scheme is a component of a GBP75 million project to upgrade the signalling along the length of the Newport-Shrewsbury corridor.

The paper will be either the Harborough Mail or the Leicester Mercury. Pity he didn’t just scan the article!

    Best wishes
