Linworth, OH: Grade-separation to ease congestion on the cards

26 Nov

The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission’s traffic study may be the catalyst for a grade separation of the intersection of the CSX right-of-way and State Highway 161 in Linworth, near Columbus. This is to be welcomed as road traffic is known to tail back for up to a mile at peak travel times. The (DoT) conceptual solution is for a highway underpass. The next step is for Ohio Department of Transportation is to take this forward to a conceptual design for the underpass which would see between 15,000 and 17,000 road vehicles using the two-lane highway in an area of high growth in this area close to Columbus.
