Neuchâtel, Switzerland: 75-year-old cyclist killed in crossing collisions

A 75-year-old man was killed when he was struck by a train on a level crossing on September 22nd, 2014. The man who was cycling had been travelling along abroad that runs alongside the railway and then turned through 90 degrees to cross the railway at an automatic half-barrier level crossing.

The fatal accident occurred at about 11.50 on September 22nd, 2015 at the crossing in the village of Noiraigue, Neuchâtel. The barriers at the crossing had been lowered for the approaching train when the cyclist entered the level crossing.
