Finningley, UK: MP calls for Network Rail boss to donate bonus to charity

22 Sep

John mann, Member of Parliament for Bassetlaw, has called on Robin Gisby, Network Rail’s retiring Executive Director with responsibility for operations and safety to donate a retention bonus of GBP300,000 to charity. The suggestion has been made because the MP believes that safety performance at level crossings is unsatisfactory in the particular context of a collision between a train and a car on the Beech Hill level crossing, near Finningley, that claimed the life of a child in December 2012.
