Caernarfon, UK: dangerous driving, significant penalty imposed

A Judge sitting at Caernarfon Crown Court has imposed an eight month suspended jail sentence with 300 hours of unpaid community service work, an 18-month driving ban and costs of GBP1,200 on a motorist who admitted an offence of dangerous driving.

The 23-year-old driver of a performance car was recorded overtaking a line of cars that had stopped at a level crossing near Welshpool before zig-zagging around the barriers as a train approached.
