UK: Opposition to bonuses for Network Rail executives

9 Apr

Trades unions have voiced their concerns that Network Rail’s executive directors might be in line for bonuses this year when the parliamentary Transport Committee has published a report that is overtly critical of the ways that the company has managed risk at level crossings and engaged those bereaved as a result of collisions on level crossings.

A similar position has been taken by John Mann the Member of Parliament for Bassetlaw who was one of those calling for the Transport Committee to examine the way in which level crossings have been managed and public safety assured.

Network Rail has said that its new bonus arrangements will be considered by Members – the proxy for shareholders at its AGM in July.
