27 Jan

Two people died and four others were injured when a train hit the car in which they were travelling on an unmanned level crossing at Itlamvaripalle in Chittoor district on January 25th, 2014. The railway’s response was to blame the motorist and said that they repeatedly told people how to use unmanned level crossings safely. No mention was made of the programme to eliminate all such crossings on the Indian Railways’ system on grounds of safety.
