Yarnton, United Kingdom: Conditional bail for woman charged with endangering safety on the railway

A woman who, on November 12th, 2013, stopped her car and then remained in it on the Sandy Lane automatic half-barrier level crossing in Yarnton, Oxfordshire where it was hit by a train has been granted conditional bail. This follows a Crown Court appearance at which a plea of guilty to endangering safety on the railway was entered. Sentencing has been adjourned until January 31st, 2014 to allow reports to be prepared The conditions of bail are that the woman cannot drive and has to be accompanied by another adult or her daughter, aged 16. In addition the woman cannot access any railway infrastructure.
