Minnesota: New Operation Lifesaver co-ordinator appointed

LXinfoImage1193-Sheryl Cummings, MN OLOperation Lifesaver (OL) President and CEO Joyce Rose has announced the appointment of Sheryl Cummings as the state co-ordinator for Minnesota OL. The state programme’s board of directors made the appointment.

“Minnesota is a very active state within the Operation Lifesaver network,” said Joyce Rose. “We’re thrilled that Sheryl has hit the ground running and is taking a proactive approach to broadcasting our safety messages and responding to the numerous requests for rail safety presentations that come into that office.”

Sheryl Cummings holds a master’s degree in advocacy and political leadership from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Her studies focused on non-profit administration. Prior to joining OL, she served as director of development and marketing for the Wildlife in Need Center, a Wisconsin-based non-profit. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in arts and humanities from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
