Industry, California: Ground-breaking for USD 110.5 million grade-separation

Industry, CAApril 5th, 2013 saw Federal, state, local and railway officials gather for a groundbreaking ceremony for the USD110.5 million rail over road bridge in Industry, California. This project is a component of the wider programme of work of the Alameda Corridor-East Construction Authority (ACE). This grade-separation project will deliver a bridge over Nogales Street, located north of the Pomona Freeway. Closure of the level crossing will improve the flow of the more than 50 trains and 42,000 road vehicles that presently pass over the level crossing. Nogales Street will be closed for about 18 months while construction proceeds.
